- 1 box (15 oz) yellow cake mix
- ⅓ cup vegetable oil or melted unsalted butter
- 2 large eggs, room temperature
- 1½ cups semi-sweet or milk chocolate chips
Instructions
- Prepare the Pan: Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease and line a 9×13-inch pan with parchment paper.
- Mix Wet Ingredients: Whisk eggs until blended, then whisk in oil or melted butter until smooth.
- Form the Dough: Stir in cake mix until a thick dough forms.
- Add Chocolate Chips: Fold chocolate chips evenly into the dough.
- Press into Pan: Press dough firmly and evenly into prepared pan.
- Bake: Bake 20–25 minutes until edges are golden and center is just set.
- Cool and Slice: Cool completely before slicing into bars.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use melted unsalted butter instead of vegetable oil.
- Make sure to let the bars cool completely for easier slicing.
