Description
A delicious breakfast casserole featuring sausage, eggs, and cheese baked in a crescent roll crust.

- 1 sheet crescent roll dough
- 1/2 pound breakfast sausage
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F and grease a baking sheet. Roll out crescent dough and press seams to form a crust. Bake for 8 minutes until lightly golden.
- In a skillet, cook sausage over medium heat until browned. Do not drain.
- Sprinkle flour over the cooked sausage and stir to coat.
- Slowly add milk while stirring constantly. Simmer until thickened. Season with salt and pepper. Set aside.
- In another skillet, scramble eggs until just set. Do not overcook.
- Spread sausage gravy over the partially baked crust.
- Add scrambled eggs on top of the gravy.
- Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the eggs.
- Return to oven and bake for another 8–10 minutes, until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Let cool for 2–3 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
- This dish is best served warm.
- Feel free to add vegetables like bell peppers or onions for added flavor.
