Description

A comforting and creamy pasta dish featuring bowtie pasta, seasoned ground beef, and a blend of cheeses.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces bowtie pasta
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • to taste salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Begin by bringing a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the bowtie pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Once done, reserve about a cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta and set it aside.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Add the ground beef and cook until it’s browned and fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes. Break it apart with a spoon as it cooks.
  3. Once the beef is browned, stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes, until fragrant. Be careful not to burn the garlic!
  4. Lower the heat and pour in the heavy cream, stirring to combine. Gradually add the remaining butter and let it melt into the sauce. If the sauce is too thick, add a bit of the reserved pasta water to reach your desired consistency.
  5. Mix in the cheddar and mozzarella cheeses, stirring until they are melted and the sauce is creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Add the drained bowtie pasta to the skillet, tossing to coat the pasta evenly with the cheesy beef sauce. If needed, add more pasta water to loosen the sauce.
  7. Remove from heat and sprinkle with fresh parsley for a burst of color and freshness. Serve immediately while it’s hot and cheesy.

Notes

  • For added flavor, use freshly grated cheese instead of pre-shredded.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
