  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 large egg yolk
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 to 3/4 cup sliced almonds
  • 1 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Cream together the softened butter and sugar until fluffy.
  2. Add the egg yolk, almond extract, and vanilla extract, and mix well.
  3. Gently fold in the almond flour.
  4. In a separate bowl, cream together the softened butter, sugars, and eggs. Then add flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Mix the two mixtures until well combined, then chill the dough for 30 minutes.
  6. Scoop, roll in almonds, and place on a baking sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
  7. Dust with powdered sugar once cooled.
