Description
A light and fluffy strawberry mousse made with fresh strawberries, whipped cream, and gelatin.
Ingredients

- 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup heavy cream, chilled
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tbsp unflavored gelatin powder
- 3 tbsp warm water
Instructions
- Wash and hull the strawberries, then slice them in half.
- Sprinkle sugar over the strawberries and let sit for 10-15 minutes to macerate.
- In a small bowl, dissolve gelatin in warm water and set aside.
- In a mixing bowl, whip cold heavy cream until soft peaks form.
- Gently fold the macerated strawberries into the whipped cream until combined.
- Drizzle in the cooled gelatin mixture while folding gently to maintain fluffiness.
- Spoon mousse into serving dishes and chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.
Notes
- This mousse can be made a day ahead of time for a more developed flavor.
- Store any leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
