Description

A light and fluffy strawberry mousse made with fresh strawberries, whipped cream, and gelatin.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup heavy cream, chilled
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp unflavored gelatin powder
  • 3 tbsp warm water

Instructions

  1. Wash and hull the strawberries, then slice them in half.
  2. Sprinkle sugar over the strawberries and let sit for 10-15 minutes to macerate.
  3. In a small bowl, dissolve gelatin in warm water and set aside.
  4. In a mixing bowl, whip cold heavy cream until soft peaks form.
  5. Gently fold the macerated strawberries into the whipped cream until combined.
  6. Drizzle in the cooled gelatin mixture while folding gently to maintain fluffiness.
  7. Spoon mousse into serving dishes and chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.
