A delicious and healthy ground turkey pasta dish with vegetables.
Ingredients

- 1 pound lean ground turkey
- 8 ounces penne or fusilli pasta
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 14 ounces crushed tomatoes (1 can)
- 1 bell pepper, diced
- 1 zucchini, diced
- 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook the pasta in salted boiling water according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, heat olive oil. Sauté onions and garlic until fragrant, about 2 minutes.
- Add diced bell pepper and zucchini; cook until softened.
- Stir in ground turkey; cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks for about 5-7 minutes.
- Add crushed tomatoes and Italian seasoning. Simmer for 5 minutes.
- Combine cooked pasta with the turkey mixture; stir well to coat.
- Serve hot with optional grated cheese on top.
