Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground beef (80/20)
- 1 cup sliced button or cremini mushrooms
- 4 slices Swiss cheese
- 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
- 2 tsp burger seasoning (salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika)
- 2 tbsp butter
Instructions
- Preheat your grill or oven to medium-high heat (375°F/190°C).
- In a bowl, mix ground beef with burger seasoning until just combined.
- Shape the mixture into 4 equal patties, making a slight indentation in the center of each.
- Cut four sheets of aluminum foil (12 inches each) and place a patty in the center of each.
- Top each patty with sliced onions, mushrooms, a slice of Swiss cheese, and a pat of butter.
- Fold the foil tightly to seal each packet and retain juices.
- Grill or bake the packets for 20-25 minutes until patties reach an internal temperature of 160°F.
Notes
- For added flavor, consider marinating the beef overnight with the seasoning.
- Ensure the foil packets are sealed tightly to prevent juices from leaking out during cooking.
