Description

A delicious and easy recipe for sticky beef noodles with colorful vegetables.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound sirloin or flank steak (can substitute with chicken, shrimp, or tofu)
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce (tamari is a great gluten-free option)
  • 2 tablespoons honey (can swap for maple syrup if desired)
  • 3 cloves garlic (fresh or powder)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger (or ground ginger)
  • 8 ounces noodles (rice noodles, udon, or spaghetti)
  • 2 cups colorful vegetables (bell peppers, broccoli, or zucchini)
  • 2 tablespoons oil (neutral or sesame oil)
  • 2 tablespoons green onions (thinly sliced)
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (for added texture)

Instructions

  1. Begin by slicing the beef into thin strips and chopping your chosen vegetables. Gather all your sauce components to ensure a smooth cooking process.
  2. Boil the noodles according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain them and toss with a drizzle of oil to prevent sticking.
  3. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the beef strips in batches, searing until they’re browned on the outside. Remove them from the pan and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add a splash of oil if needed, then sauté the garlic and ginger until fragrant. Pour in the soy sauce, honey, and a splash of water, stirring until the sauce thickens slightly.
  5. Add the browned beef and vegetables to the skillet, mixing everything together so that the beef and veggies are well-coated in that delightful sauce.
  6. Toss the cooked noodles into the skillet, ensuring they are fully heated and well-coated in the sticky sauce.
  7. Plate your Sticky Beef Noodles and garnish generously with sesame seeds and sliced green onions for that perfect finishing touch.
